Transposition of the ulna nerve

No one seems to state clearly how to do this operation.

There is a clear caution to avoid ending up with a serpentine course of the
transposed nerve.
Several techniques are available (transposed nerve put on top of or under medial
flexor muscle mass, yes or no to medial (epi) condylectomy).
Here is my technique:

• Small medial incision just above prominence of medial epicondyle

• Identify ulna nerve and handle with care
• Free tunnel of nerve up into humerus
• Free tunnel of nerve into forearm
• Small epi condylectomy( apply wax to bleeding bony surface)
• Clear small area here by clearing the flexor tendinous area.
• Lift the fascial sheath behind the u nerve up and over this bare
epicondylear surface, about 3 to 4 mm.
• Then make sure there is a fat layer between the s nerve and the skin( to
avoid tactile sensitivity)
• SLOW REHAB
