Professional Goals
I intend to become a secondary English or history teacher, as well as an active part of the school’s
theatre department.

Pre-Internship Field Experience:


2008-Present Okemos High School, Okemos,
MI
Placement included 4 hours per week of in-class observation, being an
active member of the classroom community, while working closely with
a mentor teacher.

2007 Pattengill Middle School, Lansing, MI


Placement included 2 hours per week of in-class observation and
mentoring. On-going reading/writing comprehension exams were
administered, while continuing to advance, encourage and progress the
reading and writing skills of the students.

2006 Lansing Refugee Development Center, Lansing, MI


Placement included 2 hours per week of mentoring refugees in the
Lansing community. ESL/EFL pedagogy was utilized to engage and
teach students.

Teaching Related Work Experience:


2007-2008 Summer Impressions Day Camp, West Bloomfield, MI
Experience included preparation of lesson plans, daily activities, and
assessments that were administered to campers interested in theatre and
dramatics. Practice of classroom management, structure and order were
key components of the experience.
