THE JURISDICTION STRUCTURE OF DELHI

MCD- Municipal Corporation of Delhi NDMC- New Delhi Municipal Committee DDA- Delhi Development Authority CPCB- Central Pollution Control Board DPCC- Delhi Pollution Control Committee DUAC- Delhi Urban Arts Commission DTTDC- Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Commission DTC- Delhi Transport Commission DVB- Delhi Vidyut Board DJB- Delhi Jal Board CPWD- Central Public Works Department PWD- Public Works Department DCB- Delhi Cantonment Board DSIIDC- Delhi State Industrial And Infrastructure Development Corporation MCD and NDMC are to manage entire services related to education, medical and health. The DDA is responsible for development of land and building in Delhi. The DUAC is to provide advice and guidance for maintaining the aesthetic quality of urban and environmental design in Delhi, the DTC for managing bus transportation in Delhi and the DVB and DJB to manage power and water supply in Delhi. The DTTDC work is of promotion of domestic and international tourists infrastructure, coordination with agencies involved in tourism, classification of hotels, licensing of tour operators, travel agents, etc., administration of Delhi Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. DSIIDC is the agency of the Delhi Government for construction of houses for Urban Poor. The Project has been recognized by Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India. While agencies such as the MCD, DDA, Delhi Police and CPWD are answerable and accountable to the Central Government, the PWD, DJB and Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) report to the Delhi Government.
