Nursing Resource Pool


Effective October 7, 2012, the Sentara Northern Virginia Nursing Resource Pool will be restructured and staff will be required to select the pool they wish to participate in, as described below. There will no longer be a 5 tier pool structure. This change will affect ED, ICU/IMCU, Surgical, Med/Onc, PCU and WCS. Unit Based Level I ($35.00) (________) Initials

Floats as required Shift rotation to meet the needs of the unit 1 Summer/1 Winter/1 Floating holiday as determined by the unit 2 weekend shifts per month 36 minimum hours per month per the needs of the hiring unit 2 years clinical experience Attend 25% of monthly unit meetings (________) Initials

Unit Based Level II ($40.00)

Floats as required Shift rotation to meet the needs of the unit 2 Summer/2 Winter/ Floating holiday as determined by the unit 4 weekend shifts per month 72 minimum hours per month per the needs of the hiring unit 2 years clinical experience Attend 50% of monthly unit meetings (________) Initials

Hospital Based Resource Pool ($44.00)

Reports to SNVMC Nursing Resource Pool Manager Floats all units, based on competency Assignment based on Competency Successfully pass a Telemetry Test (ability to read/interpret EKG) Maintain current ACLS certification Shift rotation to meet the needs of the hospital 2 Summer/2 Winter/ Floating holiday as determined by the unit 4 weekend shifts per month 72 minimum hours per month 2 years clinical experience Meets monthly with Nursing Resource Pool Manager
