PURAC FIT Plus in beverages

Market Application Beverages Acidification of low-calorie beverages with maximum taste and have a very high purity. PURAC FIT PLUS Plus is the natural L-Lactic acid. It perfectly masks any aftertaste of intensive sweeteners (aspartame, sucralose and Stevia/Reb-A) while enhancing the impact of common beverage flavours. Provides a lingering, mildly sour taste Masks aftertaste of intensive sweeteners Improves flavour perception pH control Natural PURAC FIT Plus is used in beverages for acidification and taste optimisation. If intensive sweeteners are used, their aftertaste will be masked by PURAC FIT Plus. To improve the flavour perception of sweet and mild flavours, replacement of citric acid by PURAC FIT Plus in a 1:1 ratio is recommended on dry matter basis. PURAC FIT Plus is very suitable to combine with red fruit (cherry and all kind of berries) and tropical fruit (melon, mango, peach, banana), and matches also perfectly with vanilla, caramel, dairy and coffee flavours. In case the sour taste of PURAC FIT Plus is too mild, and more freshness is needed to promote the fruitiness of certain flavours, replacement of about 30% of citric acid by PURAC FIT Plus is recommended on dry matter basis. The aftertaste of intensive sweeteners will still be masked. For example: green apple, green strawberry flavours or citrus flavoured beverages. Dependent on the individual product recipe, the dosage level of PURAC FIT Plus will be between 0.2 1.0 %
