List of questions you wish to ask / have answered in your production 1. Have you ever noticed young people drinking in and around Henley during the day? 2. Do you think that with so many pubs and off licenses that alcohol can be obtained by
students far too easily?

3. If you saw a student drinking in the day, would you go up to them to question whether
they are of age or not?

4. Do you agree that alcohol is addictive and can cause mental deficiency, therefor
decreasing the chance of doing well at college?

5. If of age students are buying alcohol they are completely within their right to do so;
However do you feel the police are doing enough to prevent them then selling that alcohol to the younger students?

6. Would having drunk students walking around college and sitting in lessons severely
increase the risk of violence and vandalism to people and college property do you think?

7. What do you think would happen to an off license or pub if a police officer caught an

underage person drinking alcohol supplied by them even though it was bought by an of age person.

8. Do you think this could reduce the amount of business in Henley? 9. If students have alcohol readily supplied to them then could this mean that the college
grade average could drop? Therefor making the college appear less capable of providing a good education

Production

Before you go off and film please be aware of the following.

PRODUCTION TIPS: Interview in relevant locations Make sure there is no background noise when filming - ask to turn off all machines or film in a quiet location and if outside try and use a wind cover and microphone. Use TWO cameras when filming - One following the interviewer and one following you as you had with your multi camera unit Get MORE footage than you need - you can always cut items out but you can't add once you have filmed Think about how you want the final product to look before you start filming Add archive footage (clips, newspaper clippings, footage from news stories etc...) but ALWAYS reference them on screen and make sure you have permission to use them

Once filming is finished make sure the following is complete BEFORE you start to edit your production

Script Shot Tracking Script

Alcohol one of the leading factors of violence, accidents and health concerns worldwide. It is estimated that in the space of a year in England alone, there are an astonishing 917,000 violent alcohol-related incidents; as well as alcohol being a factor in 20 - 30% of all accidents; and 22% of all Accident and Emergency admissions. Such shocking statistics is hardly imaginable. But just how can such a thing cause so much damage? We now interview a member of the public at Henley-On-Thames discussing the issue. As you just saw, the infamous drug is a widely used concept in our society. Some individuals drink alcohol in ways that do not increase risk for alcohol use problems and may also derive a health benefit For others, use of alcohol will increase their risk for alcohol problems. Defining precisely who is at risk for alcohol problems and assessing the risks versus the benefits of alcohol use are important to designing effective interventions to reducing it, plus providing accurate public health information. Alcohol consumption is associated with a wide range of adverse health and social consequences, (INCLUDE CUTAWAY OF TEXT FOR THE FOLLOWING DETAILS) both acute, which includes traffic deaths in addition to other injuries; and chronic, which comprises alcohol dependence, liver damage, stroke, cancers of the mouth and the esophagus. The scope and variety of these problems are attributable to differences in the amount, duration, and patterns of alcohol consumption; differences in genetic vulnerability to particular alcoholrelated consequences; and differences in economic, social, and other environmental factors. We asked the local police of Henley-On-Thames what their thoughts were Unfortunately, alcoholism is a chronic disease that may strike at any age. Research to date has suggested that alcoholism may or may not be progressive in nature. Some people develop the symptoms of alcoholism after only months of heavy drinking, whereas other alcoholics may drink heavily for years before developing the disease. This is live CCTV camera footage of a tragic car accident this is the result of over consumption of alcohol and drink driving. In 2010 it is reported that there were nearly 10 000 casualties due to drink driving. As you have seen these are some very serious consequences of drunk driving. The risk of an accident is increases dramatically when under the influence of alcohol due to decreased reaction time and impaired judgment. Now we will be going to the Henley college to interview a member of the student body and then displaying previous anti- alcohol campaigns. These adverts clearly show the gruesome effects of alcohol over consumption. This is an issue that needs to be dealt with and it seems as though the already high amount of advertising its effects is not enough.

As you heard alcoholism is regarded differently by different people, however the effects are always present and can always damage a community. All in all over consumption of alcohol will always exist, even here in Henley. However raising awareness on the issue further, can reduce the amount of people who are involved with alcohol related death. Through much more campaigning and awareness on the subject we can make a difference not just locally but globally. Thank you for watching.
