Sahraoui [Hassaniyya] Name: ‫[ الغردڭ‬Ghardeg]

Brief Description: A thorny bush located in the western part of the Sahara, it averages from 10 to 40 centimeters in height. It is good pasture for animals and after the rains it bears an edible fruit known as ‘azâkou’ [‫ ]أزاكو‬or ‘tebninna’ [‫ ]تبنينة‬in the Hasaniyya language.
