MISSION STATEMENTS
TO LIVE..Is to have physical health and economic security. Where would we be without doctors, hospitals, penicillin, and health insurance? We get our pay check because what we do in some way affects the lives of others.

TO LEAVE A LEGACY
TO LOVEis, by definition, interdependent. " Love isn't love till you give it away. " It involves relationships with others and belonging and its based on one of major themes of all wisdom literature --reciprocity, or the Golden Rule. TO LEARN..Is to grow, to feel ourselves is expanding. How often does learning come as we read books written by others, attend seminars given by others, sit in classes taught by others? How many times do we get insights as we interact in group situations with other people? How many of our " own " ideas grow out of the ideas of others ? TO LEAVE A LEGACY..is also , by definition, interdependent, It's contributing to society, contributing in meaningful ways to the lives of others. The world we live in is the legacy of those who have gone before us. The choices we make in it create a legacy for those who will follow.

DATE PLAN STEP FOUR : CREATE A DECISION MAKING FRAMEWORK FOR THE WEEK How do I feel about my week as I have it planned? What difference would it make if I planned Quadrant II goals in each role ( either as appointments or as daily priorities ) each week, and carried them out ? Do I see the logic in putting the "Big Rock" in first ? How will this help me to get those important things done ?
DATE PLAN STEP FIVE : EXERCISE INTEGRITY IN THE MOMENT OF CHOICE 1. PREVIEW THE DAY 2. PRIORITIZE 3. USE SOME FORM OF "T" PLANNING FOR THE DAY ( ANY TIME FORM )
STEP ONE : CONNECT WITH YOUR VISION AND MISSION What difference would a clear vision of my principles, values, and ultimate objectives make in the way I spend my time ? How would I feel about my life if I knew what was ultimately important for me ? Would a written statement of my life's purpose be valuable to me?, would it affect the way I spend the time & energy? How would a weekly reconnection to such a statement affect the things I choose to do during the week? CONNECT TO MISSION
PLAN STEP TWO : IDENTIFY YOUR ROLES Do I often find that I'm consumed by one or two roles in my life, and that the others do not receive the time and attention I'd like to give them? How many of my " first things" are in roles other than those that receive most of my time and attention ? Do the roles that I've selected work together to contribute to the fulfillment of my mission? What difference would it make in the quality of my life to consider these roles on a weekly basis, and ensure that my actvts are appropriately balanced?
STEP THREE : SELECT QUADRANT II GOALS IN EACH ROLE What would happen if I did these things during the coming week? How would I feel about the Quality of my life? What if I did only some of them? Would it make a positive difference in my life? What if I did this every week? Would I be more effective than I am now?
