LECTIO DIVINA Mark 1: 40-45

In this passage, we can see the love of Jesus to the leper as the leper came to him and ask him kindly to make him clean. So Jesus chooses to touch the man and heal him. From this, we can see that the leper show the act of kindness and the willingness that he want Jesus to do it so. He has no doubt that the son of God can not clean or heal him. And Jesus shows this love to the leper. The action shows that feeling of embracing others from the heart.

This tells me to have this humility in me. To give love to others and not to choose whoever who is in need of help. Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere. This is the line that strikes me because of the result that the leper became clean and Jesus as the opposite. Jesus experienced to endure the cross. He knows that this is the only way to have the humanity in that place so he experienced death through that.

This striking words helps me to let out the humanity in me. Helping people is not an option even though there will be some sacrifices that may occur. There should be a little bit of sacrifices for the sake of everyone and let this people feel the love from showing this actions. And if Im the one who is in need of help, I need to show kindness and to show that I trust this person because I have faith with them as I have this faith with God. This would show the image of God and his credit for doing such thing for other people.
