Lying

Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a
fool.

Proverbs 12:19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for
a moment.

Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Busting Tips

Tell the truth. Practice being truthful.

Sometimes talking too much can provide more opportunity to lie - exaggerating,
gossiping, etc. Talk a little less, listen more, and speak only when necessary, and to edify
others.

If you do speak a lie, go to the person and apologize for your lying, asking for
forgiveness. Correcting your lie helps to break habitual lying.

Be transparent to God in your praying. Confess your faults and weakness

Confess your faults to Christian brothers and or sisters you can trust, asking them to keep
you in prayer regarding your weaknesses and needs.

Fill yourself with the truth, God's word- Rejecting false doctrines, thinking, and ideas.
