My Review Of Rob Zombie At Ozzfest 2003
From, The Slamcity Rock nRoll News.

Rod Zombie who combines the giddy demonic glee of Ozzy Osbourne with the stage presence
and antics of a tamer and maybe older Alice Cooper, took to the stage in a barely readable well-
worn Ramones tee shirt. Zombies throaty muscular vocals coupled with the raucous clatter of
guitarist Riggs electrified the crowd's West Coast vibe into a ghoulishly urbane one. The
backdrops of Frankenstein, Dracula and the Werewolf glared at us as the band let loose some
tales of their own from beyond the beyond the grave and back again.
During the classic, "More Human Than Human," Zombie rushed crowd like a superhero
defying crazed fans, and overzealous security guards while diving into the front rows with a
high flying stage-dive. For "Thunder Kiss '65," the ladies were invited onstage to shake it up for
the vivacious, predominantly male crowd. "Dracula" was Zombie's closer, and Riggs brought it
to a crescendo when he lifted his liquid-filled guitar, drank and then spit its unknown contents
into the crowd. A lone fan carelessly found his way onto the stage; where he was quickly
escorted off by security.
This years Ozzfest had a much bolder lineup than 2002; resulting in the best Ozzfest yet.
Although last years lineup was stronger at stage 2; placing power acts at both stages made this
years show the strongest ever. This years show net 47 million dollars, which is the highest
grossing Ozzfest to date. Last years show net a cool 34 million, which was actually higher than
years previous.
