I believe children will learn best when they come to a classroom that they love to spend 6 to 7 hours a day. Creating positive environment is essential to enhancing learning, below are some of the techniques: I will cover of one the walls with posters that highlight jobs related to the students interest that require mathematical knowledge/skills to inspire and engage students. Provide an area in the classroom dedicated to displaying students works to build their confidence and pride their work. Paint the classroom green (bright) and equip the classroom with appropriate lighting to increase their line of sight and minimize the reliance on florescent light.

This classrooms design is intended for an average Math grade 6 with of 15 to 20 pupils. There are two doors in this class, an entry and exit door, to control and improve efficiency of traffic flow at the beginning and end of each period. School staff and students who want to leave the class, while the lesson is in session, are required to use the back door to avoid any noise to distract other pupils. The seating arrangement for chairs is reasonably organized to maximize student line of sight to the SMART board and main teaching area. The teachers desk is placed where he/she can easily monitor all the students, the doors and can easily approach and interact with L, B or D students in round multipurpose station. The furniture in this classroom is setup with appropriate space between them so students can have their personal space, accessibility is maximized and most of all, the teacher can navigate the class with minimal disruption. I designed this class to accommodate one person with a physical disability labeled (D1) and provided him/her a bigger seat and positioned in a front row, two persons with behavioral issues labeled( B1,B2) and placed their seat near E.A. and teachers desk to monitor them closely and keep them far from other students to minimize disruptions. Finally there is a place for two persons with learning disability next to teachers desk labeled (L1, L2). There is big a round table for any group or individual activity in this classroom and access to chalkboard. A big storage cabinet is provided near the exit door, which ease the accessibility to supplies for students who are assigned to do individual or group project

There are two portable computer stations (with internet access) that enable the teacher to move them around for demonstrating a lesson, and to provide students the latest technology in which he/she can relate to the topic. These computers can be used as preparation tools for netbook in grade 7 and 8 and also to make them familiar with internet Math applications. I believe this feature is the most beneficial part of this design that I am most proud of. Smart boards have already become a platform in most public schools and very soon we will see that students are going to use social media applications like edmodo or Twitter for their day-to-day tasks. Students and teachers who have access to technology (within district guidelines and regulations) in their classrooms can benefit the most and that would lead to more effective learning/teaching environment.

I believe inclusionary practices should be implemented in all levels of public school, unlike some experts that suggest inclusion should not go any further than middle school level. Teachers can promote positive attitudes on inclusion and having an experience in this field is always a benefit. Teachers can always educate other students about disabilities and people with all sort of physical challenges that are all around us and explain them to their classrooms. Sometimes asking an expert to come to their class to talk about these physical challenges can be very helpful. Education is a human right and privilege, no authority in our society has excluded pupils with physical challenges or learning disabilities. There are times that accommodating the needs of all can be very challenging and time consuming, but it is possible. I believe that as a teacher I have to be constant learner and be flexible and supportive to my students. I believe, teachers can teach more than just teaching and delivering curricula in their classroom. Teaching sometimes can also be challenging for even well-experienced teachers, but I would post inspiring real stories of mathematician or people that they had had a great impact on life of human being. Sometime, students need to be told and reminded about their abilities and how capable they are.
