The Querist S. M. Heena Industries has sought for my opinion on certain issue that arise under Gujarat State Value Added Tax act, 2006. Briefely stated the facts are as follows.
The Queriest has raised query with regard to the applicability of the rate of the Tax on Heena Powder. Mahendi.

To the best of my opinion Heena Powder, Mahendi as per schedule -1, subsection 1 of section 5 of the Gujarat State Value Added Tax act, 2006, Heena Powder, Mahendi is exempt from the Gujarat Vat Tax, 2006. As per schedule-l containing the goods the sale or purchase of which is exempt from tax, entry no: 34 contains the specific exemption with regard to
