CADET CAMP OFFICIALLY OPENED AND NAMED AFTER LT. COLONEL EUGENE BLACKETT OF TOBAGO ____________________________________________________________ The Trinidad & Tobago Cadet Force officially opened its Annual Training Camp in Signal Hill Secondary School in Tobago. The Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of National Security Dr. Wendy Quamina-Yorke delivered the feature address The Camp Parade consisting of four detachments was formed up for inspection by the Dr Quamina-Yorke and was under the command of the senior cadet of the camp CWO2 Michael Johnson of the Second Infantry Battalion . The Lt. Col Ellis Robinson the Camp Commandant declared the camp is named in honour of one of Tobagos very own Lt Col Eugene Blackett educator and former Commandant of the Cadet Force. The four camp companies Sosa, Wheeler, James and Richardson are also named after distinguished officers from Tobago. Training in camp will continue with the assistance of the Defence Force and its sub units and shall include introduction to snorkelling and diving, marksmanship on the rifle range ###
