KNOWLEDGE ADOLESCENT OF SEX EDUCATION LEVEL IN GOVERNENT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL NUMBER 28 GRADE VIII A TAMAN RAYA HOUSING BATAM CITY IN THE YEARS OF 2013.

ABSTRACT Sex education is a knowledge that we teach about all things related to sex. These range from the growth of sex, how sex functions as a means of reproduction, how genital development in women and in men. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of adolescent students about sex education in Goverment Junior High School number 28. Implementation research began on February 20, 2013 with a sample of 36 respondents. The study was conducted in Junior High School number 28 grade VIII A Taman Raya Housing of Batam City In The Years 2013. Sex education from here can help adolescents to determine their risk of sexual attitudes and teaching in adult sexual decision making, so as to avoid things that harm themselves or their parents. The research was conducted by giving questionnaires to see the percentage of the data collected and presented in a frequency distribution table. And the results obtained from 36 respondents, who have a good level of knowledge about sex education is amounted to 2 people (5%). Which have enough knowledge about sex education is amounted to 19 people (53%). And who have less knowledge about sex education is amounted to 15 people (42%). Lack of knowledge of adolescents about sex education, making it even didnt know about the adverse effects that may result from the sexual risk behaviors.
