Meaning, for education to progress, educators must communicate! Being a good educator means researching, sharing ideas and activities that worked and giving suggestions to others. Being a good teacher means not only using information to help your students be successful, but other students as well. My goal for my artifacts is to show how I collaborate and communicate with other professionals to aid my students in their education as well as communicate with students and parents to ensure student success. Rationale for Inclusion of Work Samples The work samples included in the learner-centered communication division were included to demonstrate my effective communication with students and parents as well as peers, colleagues, administrators, and the profession. Also demonstrated is my use of effective technology inclusion and application and my teacher disposition leading to open, honest, and shared communication among all constituents. With all artifacts, there is evidence of impact on student learning as well. Reflection of Personal/Professional Growth in Division Area Through the artifacts listed above, I feel confident in my ability to communicate with teachers, students, parents and other professionals. Throughout the program, I feel I have learned ways that are more effective ways to communicate with parents and other professionals. I have also made several professional relationships at UNT that I will continue after this program. My professional relationships have an important impact on my classroom, and I cherish each one.
