Artifact Description
This artifact was a month long study completed in EDSE 5002. Within this artifact, I describe each stage in Piagets levels of development. I also conducted tests on a student to see if they were in the same category as Piaget would have classified him in. A reflection and criticisms to Piagets work as also included.

Relationship to NBPTS Standards

This artifact demonstrates knowledge of these Middle Childhood/Generalist Standard(s). I. Understanding Students For this project, I had to know the levels on which students learn X. Reflecting on Teaching and Learning I reflect on what I learned on this artifact

Background of Artifact
This artifact was created while studying Piagets work during my second semester. I liked the instructors approach to this assignment. Instead of us researching about Piaget and typing a paper over our learnings, we took it a step further. After learning about each stage, we found a subject and conducted a few simple tests to see if our results mirrored what Piaget had though. It was a great way to see practical application of our learning. I thoroughly enjoyed this assignment, and learned more about students developmental levels.

Reflection on Learning Demonstrated in this Work Sample

From completing this assignment, I have learned about the different levels students can be on socially, emotionally, and mentally. This artifact has benefited my classroom by allowing me to understand where each one of my students it, and not to expect things about their developmental level. I will use what I have learned from this artifact to provide appropriate lessons that fit the level of my developing learners.
