- And t he y s ay, "The Mos t Me rciful has t ake n a s on." Exalt e d is He ! Rat he r, t he y are [but ] honore d s e rvant s . The y cannot pre ce de Him in word, and t he y act by His command. He knows what is [pre s e nt ly] be fore t he m and what will be aft e r t he m, and t he y cannot int e rce de e xce pt on be half of one whom He approve s . And t he y, from fe ar of Him, are appre he ns ive . Whe n dawn broke , t he y would re me mbe r Allah Almight y, and incline like t he t re e s on a windy day, by Allah, as if t he y s pe nt t he night he e dle s s (of t he world round t he m). Aft e r t hat he was not s e e n laughing nor s miling. Ais hah, may Allah be ple as e d wit h he r, was in he r de at h agonie s whe n Ibn Abbas , may Allah be ple as e d wit h t he m, came t o vis it he r and inquire about he r he alt h. (Re me mbe r whe n) your ne cklace fe ll down (and was los t from you), and t he morning came upon t he Me s s e nge r of Allah, s allallahu alayhi wa s allam, in his halt ing place , and upon t he pe ople , and t he re was no wat e r wit h t he m (which t he y ne e de d t o pe rform ablut ion and offe r Morning praye r). On t hat occas ion, Allah Almight y re ve ale d (what me ans ): "and find no wat e r, t he n s e e k cle an e art h and wipe ove r your face s and your hands [wit h it ]." [An-Nis aa 4:43] } { 43 : Trans literation: fat ayammamoo s aAAe e dan t ayyiban And it was be caus e of you t hat Allah Almight y gave t hat conce s s ion t o t his ummah. Furt he rmore , Allah Almight y s e nt down your innoce nce from s e ve n he ave ns , and it was brought by t he (Gabrie l) t he Trus t wort hy Spirit , and now t he re is no mos que in which Allah is me nt ione d but t hat it is re cit e d in it as a part of t he Holy Quran at t he approache s of t he night and bot h e nds of t he day. She s aid: Le t not me e ngage mys e lf in your t alk now O Ibn Abbas . By Him in Whos e Hand is my s oul, I like d I had be e n in oblivion, forgot t e n. May Allah be ple as e d wit h he r.

You inde e d know t hat I did not like t o be in t his world, nor t o live a long life in it t o ge t s prings or plant t re e s , in s o much as t o obs e rve fas t s more oft e n at t he s corching he at (of s umme r t he re by I re ce ive more re ward), s pe nd t he long hours (in wors hip), and race t he s cholars t o t he gat he rings of Thikr. Our right e ous pre de ce s s ors als o had gre at s it uat ions in conne ct ion wit h t he ir fe ar of Allah Almight y, of which we me nt ion t he following: Re me mbe r t he right ly-guide d caliph, Umar Ibn Abd-Al-Aziz, may Allah have me rcy upon him, about whom his wife Fat imah, daught e r of Abd-Al-Malik, s ays : We may find me n who pe rform more praye rs and obs e rve more fas t s t han Umar. But it is impos s ible t o find a man more fe arful of Allah Almight y t han Umar. s he adds : Whe ne ve r he praye d t he Las t Is ha in t he mos que , he would come back t o his praying place in t he hous e and s t art pe rforming t he praye r of Tahajjud unt il he would be ove rpowe re d by s lumbe r. Whe ne ve r he got up aft e r t hat , he would pe rs is t in we e ping unt il dawn. Whe n Harun Ar-Ras hid we nt t o Makkah, he orde re d his minis t e r t o s e arch for s ome body t o ins t ruct him. Muhammad Ibn Al-Munkadir, may Allah have me rcy upon him, ke pt we e ping s o much unt il his family fe are d for him. The y we nt t o Abu Hazim and as ke d him t o che ck him up, and Abu Hazim came and as ke d him: What caus e s you t o we e p, may Allah have me rcy upon you? Muhammad s aid: A Holy Ve rs e in Allahs Book which, whe n I re cit e , I could not he lp s he dding t e ars . He as ke d him about it and he s aid: It is t he s t at e me nt of Allah Almight y (what me ans ): And t he re will appe ar t o t he m from Allah t hat which t he y had not t ake n int o account . That is t he confirmat ion of t he s t at e me nt of t he Me s s e nge r of Allah, s allallahu alayhi wa s allam, whe n he s aid: No one we pt out of fe ar of Allah would e nt e r t he fire (of He ll) unt il t he milk re t urns t o t he udde r once again.
