Coordinate and organize the Annual CTNOFA Winter Conference with student participation in March 2013. Design and network opportunities for students to intern at local farms and gain experience in larger settings. Assist students with design of WHS Organic Garden website, including videos, blogs, etc. (http://whsorganicgarden.weebly.com) Assist students with raising plants to be donated to local urban community gardens as well as urban school garden programs. Collaborate with other districts to help increase the presence of school gardens and to improve student nutrition. Design curriculum in conjunction with the Culinary Arts program to incorporate the garden into their work. Increase Special Education opportunities and create a place for all students to work collaboratively.

Design lessons and activities for a group of volunteer students grade 7-12 to learn about the environment. Design and organize week long spring trips throughout the United States so students could have an opportunity to apply their new knowledge to other ecosystems .
