PEOPLE V. TEEHANKEE FACTS: Three separate information were filed against Claudio Teehankee, Jr.

. for the shooting of Roland John Chapman, Jussi Olavi Leino and Maureem Hultman. Initially, he was charged with: MURDER for the killing of ROLAND CHAPMAN, and two (2) FRUSTRATED MURDER for the shooting and wounding of JUSSI LEINO and MAUREEN HULTMAN. When Hultman died on October 17, 1991, during the course of the trial, the Information for Frustrated Murder against accused was amended to MURDER. INFORMATION FOR MURDER (CHAPMAN) reads: o On July 13, 1991, Claudio Teehankee, Jr., armed with a handgun, WITH INTENT TO KILL AND EVIDENT PREMEDITATION AND BY MEANS OF TREACHERY, willfully, unlawfully and feloniously attack, assault and shoot with handgun Chapman, who was hit in the chest, thereby inflicting mortal wounds which directly caused the death of Chapman. AMENDED INFORMATION FOR MURDER (HULTMAN) reads: o On July 13, 1991, Claudio Teehankee, Jr., armed with a handgun, WITH INTENT TO KILL AND EVIDENT PREMEDITATION AND BY MEANS OF TREACHERY, willfully, unlawfully and feloniously attack, assault and shoot with handgun Maureen Navarro Hultman who was hit in the head, thereby inflicting mortal wounds which directly caused the death of Hultman. INFORMATION FOR FRUSTRATED MURDER (LEINO) reads: o On July 13, 1991, , Claudio Teehankee, Jr., armed with a handgun, WITH INTENT TO KILL AND EVIDENT PREMEDITATION AND BY MEANS OF TREACHERY, willfully, unlawfully and feloniously attack, assault and shoot one Jussi Olavi Leino on the head, thereby inflicting gunshot wounds, which would have produced the crime of murder as a consequence, but nevertheless did not produce it by reason of cause or causes independent of his will, that is, due to the timely and able medical assistance rendered to said Jussi Olavi Leino which prevented his death.
