Wish / if only + the past simple is used when we express a wish: About a present situation: I wish you loved

d me. (= but you dont love me) If only she could cook. (= but she cannot drive) We can use were instead of was after I and he / she /it. I wish I was/were taller than you. (= but Im not tall)

Wish / if only + the past perfect is used when we express a wish or regret: About the past its like the third conditional, it cannot be changed. He wishes she had never met him. (= but she did meet her) If only I hadnt broken her heart. (= but I did break her heart)

Complete these sentences with the correct form of the verb in brackets. Some sentences require a negative.
