wise ones called Maya. The three men stuck in the net represents the consequence of an unstable mind which causes unhappiness and we are unable to set ourselves free from its clutches alike fish stuck in a net. The background in this picture is the Cats Eye Nebula in space which is said to have two dominant stars in the center (Cats eye being the translation of Vaidhooriyam). Divine mother in this picture is in her most exalted form of worship. She sits as Sri Chakra Raja Simhasaneswari Parabhattarika Devi Sri Maha Thiripurasundari-the Supreme Queen of the universe (Sri Chakra) and the greatest beauty who lies within the three great cities. She sits on a throne of the five Brahmans (Panchabrahmasanasthita) signifying her highest authority in the universe. She is surrounded by the 15 phases of the moon which signifies time and the mind. These 15 phases represents the NITYA KALA DEVATAS (Devis who are ever present with time) whose bija mantras (seed mantras) make up the highly guarded Panchadasakshari Mantra with Devi herself being the 16th aspect in the middle. Together with Devi in the middle, they make up the 16 aspects of desire, knowledge, truth and absolute wisdom/bliss accounting for the 64 tatvas (16x4). She sits on her throne clad in an orange saree. Orange represents the dominion of the sacred fire that can burn the impurities in a person. It also signifies the color of Guru signifying that Devi herself is the primordial Sri Guru (she who teaches) of the Sri Vidya tradition (Sri=16, Vidya= Knowledge Sri Vidya= Knowledge of the 16). Her foot rests on the crest of a sage who is none other than The Great Sage Agathiyar whose insurmountable devotion was able to make the Athirahasya Yogini(Highly secretive/Highly guarded deity) herself to instruct his Guru Hyagreeva to initiate him into Sri Vidya and made this treasured spiritual knowledge available to mankind. He represents the unrelenting devotion, absolute control of the senses and the fruit of devotion. Lastly, her heart

chamber is decorated with the Star of David glowing in green representing the union of ParaShakti (lower triangle) and ParaBrahman (upper triangle) signifying the eradication of duality Sarva dwandhwa kshayankari(she who destroys all duality). The green of the glow represents unconditional love which she is the source of and it also represents the Emerald Lane or the Path of Love which is the easiest path to her kingdom.
