Nursing audit is a review of the patient record designed to identify, examine, or verify the performance of certain specified aspects

of nursing care by using established criteria. It is the process of collecting information from nursing reports and other documented evidence about patient care and assessing the quality of care by the use of quality assurance programs. Furthermore it is a detailed review and evaluation of selected clinical records by qualified professional personnel for evaluating quality of nursing care. Concurrent nursing audit is used in this case where in it is performed during ongoing nursing care. The patient that I chose was a pediatric client wherein he was admitted due to cough and difficulty of breathing hence, has a diagnosis of PCAP (Pediatric Community Acquired Pneumonia) and was hospitalized since August 5 2013.a
