Fall 2013 Hybrid Schedule

This is a tentative schedule that I may change based on our shared assessment of our progress. I use it to give you an overview only, a look at the big picture. Every assignment you need to do can be found in the Modules or on the Syllabus link with dates (link on the left of Canvas, and also from the Welcome Page in Canvas). Dates refer to the first day of each week, although this schedule is for both the Monday and Wednesday classes. All reading indicated for a week should be done before class. You will find due dates for the major written assignments here, with all other writing and discussion assignments due as indicated in the Canvas Modules. Week 1 August 21 - Introductions.

Come to my office in BB207E at your scheduled conference time (see the schedule in Canvas.) You should upload your revised paper to Final Response Paper assignment before you come to your conference. Position Synthesis (They All Say and I Say) (Module 4)


Week 13 November 11 Read: Review Chapter 4 Write: Class presentation of question and summary of positions presented in your Annotated Bibliography. You will present this in class as well. Week 14 November 18 Read:

Review Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 8, Chapter 10


Write Continued class presentation of question and summary of positions. Week 15 November 25 Paper Draft Due: Write rough draft of Position Synthesis and bring two copies for class. Week 16 December 2 Read:

Review Chapter 6 and Chapter 7


Post revised Position Synthesis. Post Annotated Bibliography and Position Synthesis with reflection in ePortfolio during finals week.
