Device offers new alternative to blind people

Science and technology have invented a new device for finding out a cure for blind people. The voice sensory substitution device is a machine that turns sounds into images. This device helps blind people to build images in their brains of the things around them through sounds. This device was developed in the Department of Psychology, Bath University. Dr Michael Proulx said: Sensory substitution devices are not only an alternative, but might also be best employed in combination with such invasive techniques to train the brain to see again or for the first time."
