Abstract : The temperat ure drop of oil - gas gat hering pipelines is mainly related to p ressure drop and coefficient of overall
heat t ransmission. The instability of flow along pipelines and t he varieties of flow pattern lead to many differences in calculatio n
ways of p ressure drop . After taking into account t he influence of t he average gas ratio and Jo ule - Tho mson effect o n
temperat ure drop , a mat hematical model of oil - gas two - p hase flow was established in t he oil - gas gat hering pipelines. The
Baker flow pattern was adopted for evaluating oil - gas two - p hase flow. It s result is superior to t he result f rom Sukhov
fo rmula. It indicates t hat t he met hod can increase t he calculatio n accuracy of temperat ure drop of oil - gas two - p hase flow.
Key words : Oil - gas two - p hase flow ; Temperat ure drop ; Pressure drop ; Joule - Thomso n effect ; Baker flow pattern
