A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO) IS A LEGALLY CONSTITUTED NATURAL OR ORGANIZATION LEGAL PERSONS CREATED THAT BY
OPERATES
INDEPENDENTLY. THE TERM NGO IS USUALLY USED BY GOVERNMENTS TO REFER TO ENTITIES THAT HAVE NO GOVERNMENT STATUS. THE NUMBER OF INTERNATIONALLY OPERATING NGOs IS ESTIMATED AT 40,000. NATIONAL NUMBERS ARE EVEN HIGHER.

THEY DO NOT GO TO SCHOOL AND HAVE LITTLE OR NO TIME TO PLAY. THEY ARE DENIED OF THEIR CHILDHOOD JOYS. MORE THAN HALF OF THEM ARE EXPOSED TO THE WORST FORMS OF CHILD LABOUR SUCH AS WORK IN HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS, SLAVERY, OR OTHER FORMS OF FORCED LABOUR, ILLICIT ACTIVITIES INCLUDING
SERVANTS/MAIDS.

SLAF PROGRAMME EXISTS TO STRENGTHEN AND SUPPORT ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL-LEVEL DECISION MAKING IS DRIVEN BY THE NEEDS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATIONS (NGOs), COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANISATIONS (CBOs) AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR
CONCLUSION
SLAF WILL SUPPORT THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF INTEGRATED SERVICES AREAS INCLUDING, FOOD SECURITY, MICRONUTRIENTS, WATER AND SANITATION, INCOME GENERATING PROJECTS, GENDER ISSUES, AND ORPHAN CARE GOVT OF PAKISTAN HAS WELCOMED SLAF, AND WILL BE ENJOYING A CLOSE AND SUCCESSFUL WORKING RELATIONSHIP.
