InMusicinthisunitGrade1and Grade2studentswillexperience howwecanmakemusicourownby usingourmusicalskillsand understandingandchannelingthem intonewaccomplishments.The studentswilllearnaboutJazzasa styleofmusicthatinvitesmusicians tomakeeachsongtheyperform theirown.Theywilllearntoidentify Unit1

fullswing,teachersandstudentsarehappyandwearelookingforwardto anothergreatacademicyearintheelementarysectionofHIS. Forthoseofyouwhodonotknow,IamoneoftheVicePrincipalsoftheschool andIamtheHeadoftheelementaryschool.Ialsohaveasmallteachingrole, andworkinthegradefiveclassfortheequivalentofonedayperweek.This givesLisaHughestimetocarryoutherresponsibilitiesasthePYPcurriculum coordinator.Butmymajorroleistoensurethattheelementaryschoolisa successful,respectfulandmotivatingenvironmentforourstudentstolearninand forthemtoreachtheirfullpotential.
