ASSESSMENT CRITERIA ORAL PRODUCTION

CONTENT EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION Is it easy to understand what you mean? Do you respond to the task youre asked to do? Do you talk about all the points mentioned in the task? Are you as formal or informal as the situation requires?

DISCOURSE Do your ideas flow well, without repetitions, unconnected points or digressions? Are your ideas well organized into sections? Do you give enough information? Is it relevant?

FORM RANGE Is your vocabulary varied? Do you incorporate any new vocabulary you have learnt this year? Is your grammar varied? (e.g. you dont use only the present simple) Do you use linkers to connect your speech? How fluent are you? Can you speak without important interruptions? ACCURACY Have you chosen the right words for what you want to say? Are the words in your sentences in the right order? Do subject and verb agree? (e.g. third person s, people are, etc.) Are demonstratives (this / these) and quantifiers (much /many) correct in number? Are your tenses correct? Is your pronunciation correct? Is your intonation reasonably correct?
