System and Network Engineer

MAX IV Laboratory is expanding rapidly and is currently being prepared and built the largest investment in research infrastructure in Lund. MAX IV facility will be the next generation synchrotron and will replace the existing laboratory, which today consists of the storage rings MAX I, II and III. To the MAX IV Laboratory will now annually 900 users from Sweden and Europe to do research experiments in materials science , structural biology and nanotechnology. Currently, about 140 people were employed at the MAX IV Laboratory. Duties
In this role you will: - Work with the implementation of the MAX IV network - ensuring reliable operation of the MAX IV network and improve service to our users, - Ensure that critical network services are available - Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance security , performance and functionality of the network - Server Maintenance work includes the development of networks, network management, installation of network hardware, system administration, and development and troubleshooting.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position you will have a degree or equivalent, and several years of experience working in these areas: Switching, LAN, WLAN, TCP / IP, DNS / DHCP, Linux, OpenBSD, VMware. You have experience in network security and configuration of firewalls. You know one or more scripting languages such as Perl or Python. VoIP knowledge is desired. You find it easy to communicate with colleagues and can work in an agile team. You are quality and purposeful.
