Reaffirmed parliaments rights to bind the colonists

Wanted their own freedom and made it clear that it would do whatever it would to secure it

Defied the constituted principle that it wouldnt yield absolute rule over the colonists

Two absolutes that cant happen together at the same time

Killing of colonial citizens by British solders

Gave no sympathy to the british, was clear sign at they were gonna avenge the loss

Stated fire because of panic, said it was cause of self defense

1st bloodshed between the two sides

Tax that parliament wouldnt repeal from the stamp acts

Still felt that GB was still trying to assert their control of this act

Wanted to keep one final tax to maintain control over the colonists

Colonists were irked that the british didnt completely remove every act
