U8800 Software Upgrade Guideline

a)The version is upgrade guideline for U8800 and cant be guided for other type handsets upgrade , so ,before the upgrade , you must confirm your handsets are U8800. You can see the model in Settings --> About phone . b)If your device upgrade to the android 2.3.5, there is no way to come back to the android 2.2. c)Upgrade operations will erase all the user dataif necessaryplease backup the data out of the device. d To make sure that the power of the battery is enough to run the upgrade process(We recommend the battery is full).

On the basis of formal version of U8800V100R001C00B522G001, this version mostly changed the below: a) Missing call issue . b) MMS add attachment issue.

3.1 Guideline for Upgrade from Android 2.2.2 to Android 2.3.5

This upgrade need to accomplish 1 upgrade packages upgrade in the one step below , all file name cant be revised : Step1: include UPDATE.APP 3.1.1 Prepare a formatted Micro SD card which at least has 512MB available space . Make sure your handset is powered off and then insert the MICRO SD card into the handset. 3.1.2 Make a dload directory on SD card root directory , Copy the Step 1\ dload\UPDATE.APP to SD card. Long press volume up + volume down + power button on the handset to startup you device until device into upgrade model, the handset will upgrade and shutdown automatically.

3.1.3 After upgrade success , Restart the handsetAccomplish all of the upgrade of version Android 2.3.5 3.1.4 Check the Build number is U8800V100R001C00B526G001 . You can see it in
Settings->About Phone .
