I am a self directed, enthusiastic, and creative technology instructor who is committed to teaching educators how to integrate technology to improve teaching and student learning. May 2013: PTA grant for Green Screen and Lighting March 2012: $3,000 College Board Bob Costas Grant for the Teaching of Writing 2012: A total of $400.00 in PTA and Endowment Fund Grants for Cameras 2011: PTA Grant for an Overhead Projector for the Technology Lab 2011: Endowment Grant for an Overhead Projector to place on a cart and connect to a hard drive with a Smart Response system so all teachers have access to the Smart Response System 2011-2012: Raised over $500.00 in funds through C Squad projects to purchase technology items such as cameras, microphones, headsets, and flash drives for student use and core curriculum integration.

2012-Current: President of Columbia Local Education Association 2011-2012: Vice President of Columbia Local Education Association 2009-2010: Vice President of Columbia Local Education Association 2010: Speaker at the All-District Start of School Meeting, Speech Title: Do You Believe All Kids Can Learn? 2009: A member of the Region 2 State Support Team 2009-Current: Created and implemented the C-Squad. The C-Squad is a technology club made up of students and volunteer teachers from the elementary, middle, and high schools. The goal of the C-Squad is to help students and teachers implement technology to increase teaching and learning. The following is a list of C-Squad activities and accomplishments: Made scarves for a local homeless shelter, then created a video of the experience and entered it to win $10,000 Technology Tuesdays: C-Squad students stay after school to help teachers learn emerging technologies Created a "Welcome to CMS" Video Created an "Anti Bullying" Presentation Create 3D virtual science and math games using Kodu for the National STEM contests Clean and Troubleshoot Computers Find technology solutions for our teachers and students Created science and math games for classroom use Will collaborate with Students in our special education class and residents in a local nursing home to write biographies (funded by The Bob Costas Grant for Writing) Built computers out of parts of computers that were going to be discarded. One computer is on a science cart with a projector and Microsoft for classroom use. Another is on a cart with a projector and the Smart Response system so all teachers have easy access to a Smart Response System. 1992: Created and Implemented the school wide Walk-a-Thon for Literacy which has raised over $80,000 to pay for reading materials for our school. After 20 years, the Walk-a-thon is still being implemented in our elementary school today 1985-1991: Implemented the Adopt a Humpback program which raised approximately $600.00 toward saving humpback whales
