Corrections Chapter 1-2 Level 1-2

1c. Incorrect: Correct: 9= 9-(-25)= -16 = = 34

Reflection: I think that I got this question wrong because when I was doing the test, where it says I thought that the negative and negative would become addition. So I ended up doing 9+25= 34

Level 3-4
3b. Incorrect: 1 x = Correct: 1 x = x = Reflection: when I was doing the test I made the stupid mistake to trying to find the common denominator. When actually all I needed to do was simplify and then multiply. 3c. Incorrect: 1 Correct: 1 = =

Reflection: when I was doing the test once again I made a silly mistake of forgetting that I had to reciprocate. I started to do short division which ended up giving me the wrong answer.

3d. Incorrect: Express as a ratio in simplest from: 0.6:1.5= 10:1 Correct: 0.6:1.5 = 6:15 = 2:5

Reflection: when I was simplifying I thought that the 0.6 would become 60 because I was thinking in 100% and getting everything confused. Which if you write 60:15 it gives a whole different answer.

Level 5-6
p=4, q= -3, r= -2, s=4 5a. Incorrect: = 56 Correct: 4x4x4= 64

Reflection: When I was doing the test as I was multiplying, when I carried over the 2 instead of adding 4+2 I added 4+1. Which therefore gave me the wrong answer.

5b. Incorrect: Correct: 4x4x4 -2x(-3)= 64 -2(-3)= 64+6= 70 Reflection: In the previous one the equation was 4x4x4 and the same problem was in this I just saw that I got a answer on top and I thought its the same so I copied the wrong answer which messed up my whole problem. 5c. Incorrect: 3(2p+4r)=3 Correct: 3(2p+4r)= 3(2x4 + 4x-2)= 3(8+-8)= 3(0)= 0

Reflection: My whole process was right until my last step I forgot that a + and will basically become a subtraction. So instead of subtracting I added which led my astray. 6a. Incorrect: 3x + 7x - - 9x= Correct: 3x + 7x - - 9x= 10x + 9x= 19x Reflection: Instead of adding I multiplied and added the exponents. I dont think I was paying attention because I might have confused my self with the x and thought it meant multiply. 6b. Incorrect: Correct: 2 Reflection: once again I made the silly mistake of adding the exponents and then taking the extra exponent and adding to somewhere it wasnt needed.

Level 7-8
9. Incorrect: 1:4 and 2:3 = 3:10 Correct: 1:4 = 5

x2

2:3 = 5 10 x3 = =

x2

= = 5:10 =

1:2
Reflection: most of my process was right the only part that really messed it up was when I multiply the ratio 2:3 in its fraction form I forgot to multiply the 2 in the ratio which messed up most of it. I think that I should have remembered that the ratio wasnt 1:3 but it was 2:3.
