Week at a Glance for Miss Jackies Grade 1-J Class Week 6: October 6-10 Week-long: Math Students will

ll continue working on patterns, focusing on creating original patterns, recreating patterns using a different attribute, extending patterns and naming the type of pattern (ab, abb, abc, etc). Science Students will continue learning about their 5 Senses. They will explore how their five senses keep them safe and how animals use their 5 senses. Social - This week we will be finishing up our Belonging in My World: unit. Students will continue to explore how they belong and how it contributes to their wellbeing. Students will also continue to focus on their rights and responsibilities. They will be starting to learn their mapping skills this week and will create a map of the school. Language Arts Please continue to practice the words that your child has received in the previous weeks. Students will finish their secret word and continue to learn about vowels. We will be getting out new spelling words when we get back from Eid break. Home reading will start after Eid break as well.
