Which of the centers that caught your attention? First, the library caught my attention.

Their school library in Puntod National High School is so cute. It is cute in terms of decorations, organization of books in shelves and room area. I observed that there are several kind of books but then the area is not that enough to accommodate one section with an average of 40 students. Also theres a problem in terms of the accessibility in their library since it will only open if the teacher in charge is available or dont have class. Second center is their newly constructed computer laboratory room. Even if it only have not less than 10 computers, I feel so happy for the school that they have this kind of learning center considering that nowadays is really a modern world where computers and other technology is very much needed in supplementing learning. It will really help and enhance students competence not just in academic but global skills that will be valuable in daily life as well as in their future career.

Which instructional materials/gadgets are you confident to use?

White board & PowerPoint slides.

I am very confident to use these materials because of its easy to use design. I really like to use power point slides in presenting the lesson because its not only good for visual learners but also to auditory learners. The elements also in pp slides can eliminate monotony in class. White board also because in presenting lesson through slides, it is inevitable that teachers need to explain and elaborate or high lighten some points with the aid of materials available to write. I prefer white board rather than black board since it prevent us in exposing to chalk or in exhaling the chalk dust which is not good for our health.

Which instructional materials/gadgets you feel the need to learn more about? Computerprograms and applications that are valuable in teaching, in aiding better learning teaching process. Also in trouble shooting computers because it might be that I encounter technical problems while using it in class and it might ruin the class discussion/activity and waste time.

Insight and realizations As the Earth gets older, stuffs gets high tech. Its no longer something just for entertainment and leisure but a need in education. Media technology helps the teachers lessen the stress they get in making visual aids and supplement better learning among students. But it is a sad reality in the Philippines that even city public high school is not that rich in resources or funds to have these instructional materials. If ever there are, it is not proportionally distributed to the number of students. Only then the teacher will use it or stock up in faculty room. Due to lack of resources, there are some subject components in TLE that the school doesnt offer. Even the land area of the school is too small to have a school garden.

Which of the instructional materials caught your attention most? Why Black board and chalk. These instructional materials really caught my attention because its usefulness and effectiveness in teaching is unfading even if in this generation is an advent of modern technology use.
