DEPARTMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING UPDATE

K-5 Everyday Math 2012 Edition

The Department of Student Learning is thrilled to bring the new 2012 edition to students and teachers this year. This edition has been aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The Standards of Mathematical Practice have been woven throughout every lesson. Many of the lessons will look familiar to teachers and are indeed identical to lessons in the 2007 edition. New lessons or minor adjustments to existing lessons have been included to address concepts that are new to grade levels based upon the CCSS. The new teacher editions may look different to you as they have made some aesthetic changes to the layout based upon teacher feedback as well as some other practical modifications to make it more teacher-friendly. The most exciting aspect of this new edition comes with the enhancements that have been made to their online resources. Those of you who have been using esuite for the past two years will find yourselves amazed by the new version.
