Life Through Gods Forgiveness Week 4 October 14-18, 2013 Psalm 32:1-11

Monday: Read Psalm 32:1-11, Rom. 4:4-8 In verses 1-2, what is the result of a person whose sins have been forgiven? List as many observations about forgiveness as you can find in verses 1-2. Meditate on Psalm 32:1-2 today while you are going about your routine. Read Romans 4:4-8. Thank God for the free gift he offers. Tuesday: Read Psalm 32:1-11 What happened to David when he kept silent about his sin in verses 3-4? Do you have sin that you are trying to keep silent about before God? Why? Talk to him about the secret that youve been trying to hide. What was the result of Davids confession in verse 5? Do you need to confess? Thank God for his forgiveness. Wednesday: Read Psalm 32:1-11 In verses 6-7, the Psalmist encourages you to seek the Lord and to pray to him. Why does the Psalmist caution you to pray to the Lord? You might be experiencing the effect of mighty waters in your life today. What is the trial that you are experiencing? Have you called to the Lord for help? According to verse 7, what is your hope in the Lord? Embrace that today. Thank him for his hiding place. Thursday: Read Psalm 32:1-11, Psalm 19:7-11 What character quality would help a person, to best receive the instruction mentioned in verse 8-9? What character quality would impede a person from seeking instruction? If the two character qualities were on opposite ends of a continuum, where would your life fall? Do you need to change your attitude? Pray about that today. God offers instruction and help in his Word. Read Psalm 19:7-11 and list the benefits of the Word. Thank him for those. Friday: Read Psalm 32:1-11, Psalm 51 In verse 10, what is the outcome for the wicked? What is the outcome for the person who trusts in God? What a picture of contrast? Thank God for his unfailing love. What is the response of the Psalmist in verse 11 for forgiveness? Read Psalm 51 and make a list of observations about confession and forgiveness? What did you learn about confessing sin? What did you learn about Gods forgiveness? How does that impact your life today?
