Introduction
I.I. Rationale for this Research

Text messaging is a quick way to stay in touch with people for personal or business purposes. With text messaging, you can chat with a partner by typing on the keyboard or keypad and reading what they write to you on the screen. Nowadays, text messaging and instant messaging become widely used by many people. Some people especially teenagers overused this texting technology. But some use this technology reasonably. Texting has become really popular amongst teenagers these days, even 10-year-olds are now texting. If you spend any time with teenagers, you will witness their addiction with texting and instant messaging. These technologies give teens access to their friends 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is not surprising that texting and related technologies have become so popular. Whats so surprising is how irresponsible this technology that it can make many teenagers addicted with this. Instead of putting the phone down and get work done. It is very scary what teens will do while texting. Driving while texting? Why not? It is not like you need to concentrate or anything. This doesnt only happens in teenagers but also to adults. Many people are literally or psychologically tied to their mobile phones like theyre one of their limbs. It is argued that SMS facilitates users in their everyday life through the ways it supports awareness and accountability. These characteristics make the communication channel a social translucent technology, contributing to its popularity. It is suggested that simple information and communication technologies such as SMS can provide powerful tools in new designs of information and communication technologies.
