DATED: July 25, 1985

Case No. 1985-BCA-16

In the Matter of:

THE COUNCIL OF THE GREAT

CITY SCHOOLS

Contract No. 99-0-2804-33-80

DECISION AND ORDER

The Council of the Great City Schools and the United States
Department of Labor have stipulated to the following in the above
captioned matter:

1. On March 17, 1985, the United States Department of Labor

("the Department" or "DOL") received a submission from the
Council of the Great City Schools ("CGCS") which set forth
documentation supporting the allow ability of expenses disallowed
by a DOL Contract Officer ("CO") in August 24, 1984 final
determination.

2. The parties have agreed that CGCS' submission supports

the allow ability of $19,611 in costs previously disallowed by
the CO. To this extent, costs in that amount are deemed allowable
and are no longer in dispute.

3. The parties have further agreed that $520 in costs

previously disallowed by the CO remain disallowed. To this
extent, the parties agree that $520 in disallowed expenditures
remain owing to DOL under this contract.

4. CGCS had agreed to pay $520 to DOL, within 30 days of the

date the Board dismisses this case, by sending a cashier's check,
payable to the "U.S. Department of Labor", to:

David 0. Williams
Administrator
Office of Program and Fiscal Integrity
U.S. Department of Labor
Employment and Training Administration
601 D Street, N.W.
Room 8400

Washington, D.C. 20213

5. DOL has agreed to accept payment of $520 as complete

satisfaction of all costs disallowed in the August 24, 1984 final
determination.

6. The Department's acceptance of the $520 payment will

resolve all outstanding issues in this appeal.

7. The parties have further agreed that Contract No. 99-0-

2804-33-80 is closed, and have requested that the Board dismiss
this appeal, by issuing an order to that effect, on the ground
all issues in the case have been settled. Accordingly,

ORDER

IT IS ORDERED that this appeal be, and it hereby is
