(GM) was used reactors basic strategy types. Reactors means make adjustments only when finally forced to by environmental pressure. A reactor is the opposite of the prospector means which is passive and reactive. In the GM cases, they actually were bailed out by the federal government just three years ago and then they also set a goal to make profit more than $10 billion a year. Next, GM also faces three kinds of business problem; adaptive cycle which is entrepreneurial, engineering and administrative. First entrepreneurial means they have a problem in selecting and making adjustments of products and markets. Second, engineering is having a problem in producing and delivering the products. And third is administrative means they fails to solve problem involving establishing roles, relationship, and organizational processes. Then, we can say that GM is using reactor strategy types that are afforded by the adaptive cycle.
