JESUS HEALED A PARALYTIC

BY: PUTRI 9.1

THE STORY
The story started in Capernaum The crowd found the place where Jesus stayed and filled in the place. People like Pharisees and doctors of the law came from the villages of Galilee, Judea, and also Jerusalem. Four men came carrying a paralyzed man in a bed, but they couldnt go directly in front of Jesus because of the big, crowd

THE STORY
They carried the man on to the rooftop where they let the man go down to Jesus through the hole of the roof. Jesus saw him and said, Man, be good of cheer, your sins are forgiven. The Pharisees didnt believe this, because they thought that only God can forgive sins. Jesus said, Why are you thinking evil thoughts in your hearts? What is easier, to say to the paralyzed man, 'your sins be forgiven,' or to say, 'stand up and take up your bed and walk?

THE STORY
The previously paralyzed man stood up and walked among the crowd, leaving them amazed.

From: Matthew 9:2-7, Mark 9:17-29.

REACTIONS
The people there were very amazed with what Jesus did. Some of them were scared because Jesus could perform miracles that nobody couldnt. The crowd realized that Jesus was the Messiah.

JESUS MISSION
his mission was to make people believe in him by performing his miracles. He also heal people who have true faith in him so that their sins will be forgiven and their sickness will be gone. Even though the Pharisees didnt believe at what Jesus said (that he could forgive a mans sins) at first, but the previously paralyzed man got up and walked among the crowd.

COMMENTARIES
The cure of every disease is the true and strong faith, and it must be approved by Jesus Christ. Sin is the cause of all our pains and sicknesses. The only way to remove the sin is to take away the root. Jesus claimed that he could forgive sins, and it is true, so the only way the paralyzed could remove his sin is to have faith in Jesus. The man was healed, and he could walk again, for sin is a sickness, and Jesus forgives his sins.

CONCLUSION
This story helped us to believe and have faith in Jesus, because his mission was to make people believe in him by performing his miracles. This story told us that Jesus could heal a paralyzed man, because Jesus was the Messiah, so we must to believe in him. This story, and also other stories of Jesus performing miracles give us more evidences that Jesus is actually our Savior, for he had forgiven our sins when he died on the cross.
