1. Rochelle presents the content through a game on the Smart Board to assess prior abilities while Trikia sets up for the Parallel Teaching stations. 2. Students will split into two groups: We will have a cueing system of nodding to signal the beginning of a new activity. a. Group Rochelle: Marquarius, Ale, Laquisha, and Jaylen. b. Group Trikia: Alexia, John Robert, Shomia, Javani. 3. Each group will do 5 flash cards containing addition problems using white boards to answer and show work. 4. Each group will do flash cards containing written numbers and their corresponding numbers which students will take turns matching until all have completed. 5. Students will complete two worksheets without assistance from teachers or others unless directed on IEP. 6. Dismiss students back to individual desks. Activity Analysis: Game: We will use a game on the Smart Board to engage students prior content knowledge and to assess the current ability. This technology is used often in their instruction; therefore they are comfortable with this method of instruction. This activity meets the students learning characteristics and needs by presenting addition problems through picture and numerical representations.
