    This document provides instructions for making a homemade mosquito trap using common household items. The trap consists of a plastic bottle, brown sugar, yeast, and water. Brown sugar is dissolved in hot water and cooled to room temperature before being poured into one half of the bottle. Yeast is then added to the sugar-water mixture, which will produce carbon dioxide to attract mosquitoes. The bottle is covered with a dark wrap with the top portion inserted upside down as a funnel. When placed in a dark corner, the trap will kill a surprising number of mosquitoes within 2 weeks.
