II kings 5 1. The story of namaan who had a leprosy. Namaan is a brave and courageous soldi er of King aram.

Then a captive girl told her that there'e a prophet in Samaria who could cure him! king Aram wrote letter to the King of Israel, but the King o f Israel feared the God's plan and tore his robe. Prophet Elisha saw this and sh e volunteered and take resposibility to cure Namaan. Elisha told Namaan this "Go wash yourself 7 times in the river of Jordan and you r flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed" Namaan doubt and became angry for Elisha had said. But in the end, Namaan convi nced by his servants to follow the advise of Elisha. Namaan swear to god that he will be his servant and he asked for forgiveness if his king drag him to bow down to his idol. Elisha accepts him and refused the talents and any payments Namaan given had giv en her.Gehazi, Elisha's servant lied to Namaan to steal some talents and clothin g. He did also lie to his Master. Elisha punished by putting a curse to Gehazi t o have a leprosy up to his descendants. Just like they say " Love of money, was the root to all evils" this is Gehazi's sin. It was vain to lie to God and to his prophets. We can never Lie and deceive our God. Increasing welath in such ways are dishonourable to God and injurious to others. 2. We can never Lie and deceive God. We must beware of hypocrisy and covetousnes s. We must remove Greediness to our system and try to balance the needs from wan ts. As the bible says "But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. (1 Timothy 6:9 ESV) temptation is the doing of the devil to lure as in his unholy ways. We must resi st it and trust God to help us in our needs in a righteous ways. A good example of this, is the Pork Barrel scum. Napoles fall under her tempati on to get super rich by stealing the money of the Filipino people, and look what she got in return... she lost her honour, peace, dignity and morality.
