!ttendance is a signi icant part o the class participation grade( as well as keeping you up to date with the in ormation that is being taughtDsimply put( i you are not here you do not have an opportunity to learn@ E"tensive absences and&or tardiness will signi icantly lower you chances or success and achievement in this class. Students are e"pected to attend class and to complete all assignments. Some materials presented in class will not always be covered in the te"tbook/s0. Students are responsible or obtaining missed in ormation including handouts( announcements and changes in class schedule.

Students will begin every class with ive points. 3 students do not ollow a middle school norm or classroom norm( they will lose points. 3 students do not ollow the classroom procedures students will also lose points. 3 students ollow all rules( answer :uestions and volunteer in class they will receive bonus points. Each week will total %, points but the ma2ority o students will have the opportunity to earn e"tra credit by not losing points and gaining.

8utoring will be o ered at the !cademy. 3 reserve the right to e"cuse any student rom tutoring who is disruptive during tutoring and&or who has been disruptive during class. 8utoring times will be determined.
