Course Syllabus:

Composition
"tudents write several times each week with .articular em.hasis on analy/ation. 0riting modes include narrative, e1.ository, and argumentative. "tudents will take multi.le essays through the writing .rocess to final draft. 'dditionally, students will conduct informal research as well as formal research.

Vocabulary
2oca3ulary study is ada.ted from words most often seen on the "'T. "tudents may 3e given 45 words each week.

rammar
Grammar instruction will 3e daily through a .rogram entitled !aily rammar "ractice. It is designed for small, frequent instruction in order to immerse students in the identification of grammatical conce.ts as well as the usage of those conce.ts in their writing.
