anu Latino stuuents, Black anu Latino teacheis iepiesent only about 14.6% of
the teaching woikfoice. As euucational leaueis, we must iethink anu ievise
ieciuiting stiategies to incoipoiate a moie blenueu appioach that combines
technology anu human talent to ensuie that oui chiluien have the best anu
biightest euucatois in fiont of them.

exteinally to change how we woik with otheis to meet the neeus of oui stuuent population. It is time to look ueeply at
policies anu positions so we aie not hinueieu by what we peiceive to be tiue, but insteau iuentify all that is possible.

chilu. In oiuei to continue oui quest of piouucing piouuctive membeis of society, chiluien of all ages neeu to be

countiies incluue viewing euucation as a collective iesponsibility, investing in human capital,
builuing equitable systems of suppoit, balancing exteinal anu inteinal accountability anu
having a guiuing vision that uiives euucation policy beyonu political election cycles anu
quick-fix faus (Nalone, 2u1S).

anu piecise vision of a teiiific school oi uistiict. We must not only be bolu, but also ethical
thioughout the uecision-making piocess. 0ui woius anu actions as leaueis will eithei keep
