Maintenance planning is the process by which the elements required to perform a task are determined in advance of the job start or the development of a detailed program to achieve an end (What, Who, How to do the maintenance job, For how long and for How Much ?)
Design modifications : are planned and scheduled and they depend on eliminating the cause of repeated breakdowns. Timely backlog relief : Backlog is all work available to be done. Backlog work has been approved, parts are either listed or bought and everything is ready to go
MAINTENANCE COORDINATION
Encompasses logistical efforts of assembling all necessary resources so the job is ready to be scheduled. This activity is conducted in harmony with Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Store and management
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULING :
IS THE WRITTEN PROCESS WHERE LABOR RESOURCES AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT ARE ALLOCATED TO SPECIFIC JOB AT A FIXED TIME (When to do the job)
MAINTENANCE EXECUTION :
The process where all planned job package are executed or done at the shop floor and this activity is under the responsibility of maintenance supervisor
