IDENTIFICATION OF SWOT

Entering and proposing a business one thing you must be able to perform is the SWOT analysis. Because this is the one way of knowing if your business competitively strong and different from the others and its really part of the planned business. SWOT analysis is a strategic planning method use to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses/limitations, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business venture. It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or a project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favourable and unfavourable to achieve objective (Wikkipedia,). Through these the proponent would be able to come up with realistic and attainable objective. Identification of SWOTs is essential because subsequent steps in the process of planning for achievement of the selected objective may be derived from the SWOTS. First, the decision makers have to determine whether the objective is attainable given the SWOTs. If the objective is not attainable a different objective must be selected and the process repeated.

STRENGTH OF SHAKE FOR HEALTH: Malungay Ingredients One of highlights of the proposed project is the very unique ingredient that combined with all of the proposed flavors mixed with malungay. In doing the actual observation in some well-known and ordinary fruit shake businesses like Fruitas, Orbitz Black Pearl Shake and fruit shake at Paseo del Pilar the proponent observed that they do not have this kind of ingredients mixed with their shake. Malungay is really one of the most nutritious vegetable especially it contains a lot of calcium. In one table spoon of malungay is a worth of one glass of calcium milk. So it might really attract customer especially those who used to eat vegetable like malungay and to those who dont have the time to prepare such nutritious vegetable and for those who dont like to eat vegetable will still prefer the product because as the proponent do the experiment in spite of having this kind of ingredient you cant totally taste the malungay because of the good combination of fruits as the results of testing and eliminating method of experimentation. Ampalaya Ingredient All of the flavors of the proposed fruit and vegetable shakes are mixed with ampalaya. But before the proponent come up with this formula they assure that it wont destruct the taste of the fruit shake based on the results of the experiment that the proponent did. They come up with a chosen best fruits to combined with this ingredient in order the customer wont feel its bitter taste and they only feel its delicious and

nutritious taste . It will help the customers to have and maintain their healthy body and diet especially one of the proponent do not like to eat ampalaya but after tasting the product the member says nothing but only super delicious. Guyabano Ingredients During the experiment one of the best ingredients that the proponent tasted was the guyabano flavor with minor mixture of grapes and apple. It really wins the taste and it makes the fruit shake smoother and smells good. Grapes Ingedient One of the ingredients are mixed with grapes not just for the reason of making the taste of fruit shakes more delicious but to attach more nutritive value.

WEAKNESSES Market Standing In starting business one thing that the competitors must focus is on how to introduce the business in the market to get its attention and fondness. Those fruit juices/shakes that existed long period of time in the market might affect the proposed project because of the so called brand loyalty. Yogurt Ingredient This is one of the ingredients which the proposed project did not include. Because as the proponent does an observation on Frutas they found its not sellable and it results the same taste. Sago This kind of ingredient is the Orbitz Pearl Shake considered as one of their highlights. Its not just totally a drink but it has also a carbohydrates coming from the sago with fruit powder and other flavoring mixed with the shake. Choices of different flavor like Chocolate, Mocha, and Ube In the anticipated project it only used evaporated milk unlike Obitz Pearl Shake they have different flavor chocolate, mocha and ube to suits the desired flavor of the customer

OPPORTUNITIES Demand for Healthy lifestyle As the time goes people now become a wellbeing awake and concerned thats why they are now demanding vigorous and nourishing products. Appreciation on natural ingredients and products Some people do appreciate the goodness and benefits out of patronizing naturally made products. Aside from its perfect taste it is also perfect for the health of the human body to stay beauty and fresh looks. Strategic Location Since the proposed project is situated in Shoppers Center at the center point of the town proper of Zamboanga City where people used to spend their bonding, shopping, and many student hang out together after their classes in that mall. Warming Temperature Because of the continues industrialization that causes the global warming earths temperature become higher every year and for this reason people now patronized and demand for products such as refreshing products like what the advocate proposed which is the fruit and vegetable shake. Populous City Zamboanga city as the proposed location of the project study is one of the populous city in the Philippines. Aside from the permanent residents there are also many tourists and people coming from different provinces like Sibugay, Del sur, Del Norte, Basilan and etc working here in the city and studying college and some even secondary. Looking for cold drinks Usually people of todays generation everyday its really part of their life cycle that they find for cold drinks especially if they feel thirst after having long time of walking, playing, shopping in the mall and etc.

THREATS Existence of Indirect Competitors Fruit shake is consider as a substitute of colas and mineral water or any of the refreshment products because of the existence of those and other bottled juices might affect the preference of some people especially those who cannot afford and not yet convinced to live in a healthy way and not knowing what they may get out of drinking on it. Rainy Season Usually Filipinos in time of summer season or sunny day they want to be cool by drinking or eating refreshment products but during rainy season or rainy day most probably they prefer to buy which is something hot and makes them warm. But some still humiliate the product especially theyve really like the product despite of the cold weather or temperate. Increasing Cost of Energy The proposed business is directly using energy to produce a product or the fruit and vegetable shake. If the cost of energy increases it will tend to touch the price of the fruit shake into higher. If these would happen some customer will react on it if the price will increase it might force the customers to lessen their buying behavior of this kind of product or prefer. High Price of Fruits Fruits are one the direct material of the proposed project. If the price of the fruits will go higher it might really affect the final product which is the fruit and vegetable shakes and the price of the products will possibly become high too. Preference of artificial products Despite of the continuous increasing of demand for healthy products still some people patronized artificially made products because it is actually cheaper compare to naturally made products.
